Apple's Tim Cook states that metaverses have "potential"

To use metaverse, you must buy cryptocurrencies to purchase any of the products or goods which are also crypto market investments, so many major corporations have remarked on the growing popularity of metaverses since the collapse of 2021. Steam has barred any blockchain-related games from its digital store, but the Epic Store has accepted them with open arms. Meta said that it is actively working on technological development. Metaverses have also received support from gaming firms such as Square Enix, Ubisoft, and Electronic Arts. Apple, on the other hand, has stayed silent on the subject - until today.

"Well, that's a huge question [the Metaverse prospect and Apple's involvement in that market]," said Tim Cook, Apple's current CEO, during the company's Q1 2022 earnings call. But, because we're in the business of innovation, we're always looking at new and developing technologies, and I've already mentioned how exciting it is for us right now. In the App Store, we have over 14,000 AR Kit apps that give amazing, augmented reality experiences to millions of users. As a result, we believe there is a lot of promise in this area and are investing appropriately."
