Battle Royale Light Nite changes its name to Solana, rebrands, and becomes a free-to-play P2E game

Light Night, one of the most popular battle royale games on the blockchain, has made a significant choice to improve cryptocurrency investment. Previously, Light Night was renowned as the game where you could win Bitcoin. Those profits used to be Satoshis, which are fractal portions of a BTC, but the in-game economy is changing now.

The developers have announced a move away from the Liquid Sidechain and toward the Solana blockchain. The change is intended to improve transaction speeds and latency throughout the whole ecosystem. The number of transactions per second will increase from 10 to 65K thanks to the superior infrastructure of the Solana Network, while latency will decrease from 50 seconds to 0.4 seconds. Furthermore, Solana's ecosystem already has over 30K projects, implying greater compatibility. When you put all of this together, you get some very significant changes.

As a result, the game will use a new native crypto called $LNC to run (Light Nite Coin). In addition, Light Nite is moving to a free-to-play format, replacing the game's former $20 price tag.

The game has been renamed and given a new name: 'Light Nite X,' while the previous edition will be known as 'Light Nite Legacy.' In general, the game will not be altered significantly, and it will continue to be a popular battle royale shooter, similar to Fortnite or PUBG. The beta version of the game will be released in Q2 2022, followed by the mobile version in Q4 2022 and the final version in Q1 2023.
