Opera Adds Support for Tron Through Browser

By Mark Lemon – Cryptocurrency Specialist

Tron is a revolutionary blockchain with a vision which aims to provide the world with a truly decentralized Internet. Even as we speak, this ambitious project is still growing in both market cap and popularity. Now, one of the world’s most renowned browsers, Opera, is planning to introduce native support for the blockchain. With this partnership, Opera will include a TRX wallet that enables users to store this cryptocurrency as well as other Tron-based TRC tokens and subsequently, directly sell crypto from the same wallet.

This development shouldn’t really come as a surprise since Opera is known for aiding the environment. Why just last year, the browser became the first of its kind to include a native ETH wallet. This allowed Opera to be the first-ever browser with Web3 qualities able buy and sell Ethereum and interact with the network.

Because of this, over 300 million Opera users around the globe can use, buy and sell Tron without needing a separate wallet. Due to its native compatibility, novice cryptocurrency users can easily get around how to use it.

Opera isn’t just going to take monetary advantage of tokens, but also utilize the development and use of DApps. At the moment, Ethereum is the one with the highest number of Dapps which many can be used to cash out crypto,  but Tron is the fastest growing, so there’s some real competition there.

Krystian Kolondra, EVP at Opera, Head of Browsers said the following:

“By opening products to multiple blockchains, we are accelerating the mainstream adoption of Web 3.” This suggests that opera could look to add support for more Dapp platforms, and we could potential sell EOS or use through the browser wallet.

You can already buy and sell Ethereum, Tron and EOS for of from your Dapp activity as well as services to sell Bitcoin UK.
