Skew, A Cryptocurrency Data Analytics Platform by Coinbase.
Two Institutional companies, One River Asset Management and Susquehanna International Group are clients of Skew.
Coinbase, the largest cryptocurrency exchange platform, has acquired Skew, an institutional grade blockchain data analytics tool.
Greg Tusar, Coinbase's chair of institutional goods, reported the news on Friday, claiming that the recent acquisition would support their customers to teach them regarding trading when using blockchain real-time data technology.
Coinbase's purchase is a component of the company's more significant try and serves institutional clients. Tusar had stated that the exchange will continue to represent Skew's institutional clients, this includes both One River Asset Management and Susquehanna International Group.
Skew was co-founded back in 2018 by CEO Emmanuel Goh and COO Tim Noat to accelerate transparency in crypto markets and drive institutional adoption. The company has experienced rising, amassing quite 100 customers up to now. Skew has built quite the networking team of companies with significant U.S. institutions like JPMorgan, Goldman Sachs, and Citi, combining conventional financial services and crypto experience.
The announcement came soon after Coinbase went public, writing an article on Nasdaq. Multiple Coinbase executives sold many thousands of COIN shares shortly after the listing on Pan American Day, netting uncountable dollars.
However, before going public, Coinbase was aggressively investing in cryptocurrency businesses. Coinbase acquired Bison Trails, an operated blockchain infrastructure provider, in January 2021 to secure a "foundational aspect" within its expanding ecosystem of products. Reportedly, the transaction had cost Coinbase about $80 million.
