A study undertaken on behalf of Bitcoin (BTC) Markets showed that more Australians prefer to invest in Cryptocurrency over investing in silver and gold.
As per the recent study, affecting more than 2000 Australian investors, buying Bitcoin and Ethereum tend to be more common than gold and silver, but only by a slim margin. In February, about 12.6% of Australian buyers held Bitcoin and certain Cryptocurrencies along with 12.1% holding silver and gold.
Although the gap is relatively small, those between the ages of 25 and 34 drive this bridge between the Cryptocurrency community and a wider understanding amongst others. It is worth remembering that the stock market is now perhaps the best option for investors. 63.6% of respondents own shares directly, while 28.8% held stocks in exchange-traded funds or controlled funds. In the meantime, real estate and collectibles was ahead of Cryptocurrency at 25.8% and 18.8% respectively.
As far as popular cryptocurrencies are concerned, Australian investors are wanting to buy Ethereum and Bitcoin. 83.2% claim to own Bitcoin while 42% claim to own Ethereum. Other top financial currencies on their radar include Ripple, Litecoin, and Bitcoin cash with 28.5%, 18%, and 12%. The Australian Crypto ecosystem is also overwhelmingly populated by men, responsible for 63% of all Crypto investors.
