Ubisoft has dropped support for NFT in Ghost Recon Breakpoint

CJ - Cryptocurrency Enthusiast

Ubisoft entered the NFT Market industry in December, launching a new platform called Ubisoft Quartz and releasing NFT assets known as Digits. In Ghost Recon Breakpoint, the in-game NFT Coins become available for the first time. Regrettably, the firm has decided to discontinue support for the triple-A game that included NFTs.

There won't be any updates, Non Fungible Tokens, or new material for the game as a result. On the other hand, Ubisoft will keep supporting the game's servers.

Even if there won't be any more Ghost Recon-related NFTs, current owners can still sell their digital valuables on secondary markets. However, it is unclear how much money these assets will bring in. It's also unknown if Ubisoft will divulge any specific use cases or make the NFTs transferrable to upcoming titles.

Ubisoft may have dropped its NFT Crypto ambitions for Ghost Recon, but the company is still quite involved in the blockchain community. A four-year plan has been presented by the corporation. The corporation has unveiled a four-year research and development plan, as well as the Tezos-based Strategic Innovation Lab.
