What is Quant (QNT)?

Quant is the world’s first Distributed Ledger Technology (DLT) gateway for enterprise that delivers universal interoperability across different networks, systems and DLTs. Quant is leading the revolution in using this technology to help enterprises, governments, and individuals across the globe benefit from the true potential of an incredibly powerful technology.

The Quant team’s Overledger DLT gateway has implications that are completely game-changing for the world of distributed ledgers. Why? Quant has the ability to offer interoperability across systems, networks and DLT securely, simply and cost-effectively without the need for new infrastructure or introducing 'bottlenecks'. The main aim of Quant using Overledger, is to bridge the gap that exists between different blockchains (new or old). Using the Overledger Network as the backbone for the project, Quant describes this as the ecosystem on which the future digital economy ecosystem will be built.

Quant is connected to many world-class partners which include SIA  – A well-known high-tech Italian company providing innovative solutions for the banking and finance sector. ORACLE one of the with the world’s largest database management company offering cloud engineered systems and enterprise software products along with Amazon Web Services (AWS) – A web processing business that provides scalable, low-cost cloud platforms in 190 countries across Europe, US, South America, and Asia.  To see the full list of partners please click here.

Team

At Quant, the team is compiled of recognised market leaders in DLT Interoperability (Gartner & other analysts) and management team with enterprise backgrounds, experiences and mindsets. In terms of Quant’s technical team, they are experienced in critical systems design and management.

The CEO of Quant is a recognised pioneer in cybersecurity and DLT, Gilbert Verdian, with experience and enthusiasm to make inspired leadership.

Peter Marirosans entered the team to fill the position of Chief Technology officer (CTO). Peter excels in solving complex technical problems by encouraging a positive and collaborative environment.

Lara Verdian took the position of Chief Operating Officer (COO) for Quant with a truly hands-on approach and exceptional attention to detail. The team have said there’s no-one more capable than Lara of bringing big ideas to life.

With the implementation of leading-edge technology, Dr Luke Riley, Head of Innovation hopes to inspire and help shape the future with state-of-the-art technology.

Roadmap

Where it all Began

Quant’s technology is the brainchild of Founder and CEO Gilbert Verdian, who first realised the full potential of DLTs, including blockchains in solving issues relating to security inherent in the digital exchange of assets and information across the globalised world. This conviction marked the beginning (2015) of an exciting, ground-breaking project.

Why it all Began

At the time, many felt that the issue of interoperability would prove irrelevant, however predicting that a single DLT or blockchain would ultimately dominate the market, Verdian foresaw that the market would continue to fragment rather than consolidate.

As this continued to be correct, Verdian assumed a position of leadership at the frontlines of interoperability, establishing the Blockchain ISO Standard TC307, which has since become an international task by 57 countries and organisations working together to standardise the technology.

The Solution

Late 2017, after having worked closely with the UCL Centre for Blockchain Research on early development, Quant set out with the prospect of developing an original concept through a programme which resulted in the filing of a patent. Today, with several more patents pending, Quant’s technology delivers enterprise-grade interoperability for the secure exchange of information and digital assets across any network, platform, or protoco, at scale and with no extra overhead.

Where to Store Quant (QNT)

As an ERC-20 token, Quant Ledger is one of the best places to store Quant as it is an encrypted hardware wallet. Hardware wallets use high levels of encryption to keep your funds safe from any sophisticated network attacks. They also hold the private key offline and never broadcast this across the internet. Please click here for our full guide on how to set up a Ledger wallet.

Trust Wallet is also among the selection of secure wallets which are good for storing Quant QNT as it is a simple, secure, and convenient mobile wallet. Please click here for our full guide on how to set up a Trust Wallet.

MyEtherWallet can also store Quant, and is one of the most trusted, tried, and tested wallets.  This Web-Based Wallet stores all ERC20 tokens (including Quant) on the Ethereum blockchain, without the need to download any clients or software.
