What is TomoChain (TOMO)?

TomoChain (TOMO) is a unique project serving with intent to improve the scalability of the Ethereum (ETH) blockchain. Primarily, TomoChain focuses on achieving this by increasing its transaction capacity per second, with the average blocktime being 2 seconds, without compromising its decentralised nature. TomoChain offers a variety of original features to ensure that it’s objectives of speed, privacy, usability, and liquidity are all exceeded in an all-in-one platform. Some of these features include a Security Enhancement through Double Validation and the ability to launch a  Decentralised Exchange (DEX) in minutes.

Similar to other projects, TomoChain uses a Proof-of-Stake Voting (PoSV) consensus mechanism in its attempt to ensure instant transaction confirmations, which every Ethereum smart contract that uses their public blockchain will be able to run on. The attributes of their PoSV consensus includes: Double Validation and randomisation to strengthen security and fast confirmation times for finality. Alongside this, Tomochain also offers the TomoZ or Zero Friction protocol that allows token holders to pay transaction fees in a wide variety of tokens of their choice.

The Mainnet Launch in 2018 coincided with the switch to masternodes, which provided TOMO with the capability to be minted. In order to become a Masternode Candidate, token holders must deposit a minimum of 50,000 TOMO. Once participants achieve the status of a Masternode, other token holders will vote to establish the top 150 candidates. If selected to be amongst this group, Masternodes will recieve rewards corresponding to the number of blocks they authorise. The team at Tomochain believe their project and ecosystem offers a unique opportunity for entrepreneurs, enterprises, and institutions to build high-performing, blockchain-feature rich projects that ensure EVM-compatibility.
