What is a Wallet Address?

A wallet address is a string of characters and/or numbers that is unique to the wallet and asset being received. You can look at a wallet address similarly to an Account Number and Sort Code for a bank account – a unique series of characters of where funds/assets are sent to.

A wallet address is known as a public-key and is used to send and receive assets. It is the address visible on the relevant blockchain. Each asset has its own wallet address so always ensure you copy and paste the exact wallet information for the asset you are looking to receive.
