Binance, a prominent cryptocurrency exchange, has announced a cooperation with state organizations in Kazakhstan to develop a blockchain education program. By 2026, the Program hopes to have educated 40,000 individuals on blockchain technology.
Binance has partnered with the Research Lab ‘Blockchain Center’ founded by the Center for the Development of Payment and Financial Technologies of the National Bank of the Republic of Kazakhstan and Astana Hub, the Republic of Kazakhstan's Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Digital Development, Innovations, and Aerospace Industry.
Dignitaries from both parties signed a Memorandum of Cooperation. In accordance with the agreement, Binance will provide educational resources and assist in developing and implementing the fundamental educational program on compliance and blockchain for universities.
As a result of this launch, Kazakhstan will be among the first nations in the world to integrate blockchain technology into university curricula.
Asia Regional Head of Binance, Gleb Kostarev, stated: “We support Kazakhstan's objective of dominating the digital technology sector, which cannot be achieved without boosting national education and blockchain use. Our collaboration with government agencies in Kazakhstan is one more step toward providing everyone with open access to blockchain and cryptocurrency education that sets standards.”
In a recently signed Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), Binance and Kazakhstan committed to the safe creation of crypto assets for domestic markets and the development of an engagement platform with long-term viability. Kazakhstan has adopted five cryptocurrency laws forcing Bitcoin miners to set up legal businesses and register as official tax subjects.
