What is Nervos Network (CKB)?

The Nervos Network is an open source public blockchain ecosystem that utilises a layer-1 protocol and a Proof-of-Work (PoW) consensus mechanism. It also consists of a series of layer-2 scaling solutions to facilitate high-volume use cases and smart contract interoperability. The network hosts a collection of protocols creating the foundation for a universal internet-like public network.

Early dApps (Decentralised applications) exist on segregated networks and often require various mediums to access, bridge and engage with. Developers building on Nervos can target any Virtual Machine (VM), providing seamless Porting your dApps with ease and instantly gaining access the entirety of any blockchain ecosystem.

The CKByte (CKB) is a cryptocurrency that can be used as a secure store of value and it also functions as value token used to deploy smart contracts, similar to the Bitcoin/Ethereum duality. Nervos' utility token $CKB can also be utilised developers to claim storage space on the Nervos blockchain in accordance with their stake.

Team

The Nervos Network is being developed by a team with deep roots in the crypto space. Comprised of a diverse group with experience in engineering, cryptography, token-economics and community building.

Terry Tai is the projects co-founder and a core developer of cryptocurrency exchange Yunbi & Peatio, Tai is also a co-founder for one of China’s most popular technology podcasts the Teahour.fm.

Co-Founder Kevin Wang serves CKB as their token economist he Co-founded Launch School an online platform for teaching software engineering. Wang also has experience through his time at IBM as their data solutions consultant and engineer.

Daniel Lv is formerly the CTO of popular Ethereum wallet imToken and Yunbi. Before Co-Founding CKB he Co-Founded Ruby-China.org and KOL as well as occupying a postion at Intridea as a senior engineer.

Roadmap

The Nervos Network have plans to launch universal blockchain applications, with ambitions to offer unparalleled user reach and generate blockchain adoption.
